Two-Factor Authentication is an extra layer of security that requires not only a password, but also something that only the user has, such as a mobile device. This can be a text message or a call to a phone number, or an app that generates a code. It makes it much harder for an attacker to gain access to your account because they would need to have possession of your mobile device.
